What I found interesting was the notion of “cultural fit” that a person has with a country. This explains why some people just feel at home in a foreign country and stay indefinitely.
While I am attracted to the European parts of South America or the history of the Middle East, I was surprised to learn that my real “cultural fit” is (unsurprisingly) England. Their reserved nature. Pubs. That seems like me.
